L’auteur et militant anti-DRM Cory Doctorow retourne à l’EFF

Leading digital rights champion and author Cory Doctorow has rejoined the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) to battle the pervasive use of dangerous digital rights management (DRM) technologies that threaten users’ security and privacy, distort markets, confiscate public rights, and undermine innovation.

Cory Doctorrow avait quitté l’Electronic Frontier Foundation en 2006 pour se consacrer à l’écriture — il a depuis gagné un prix John Wood Campbell Memorial, un prix Sunburst et trois prix Prometheus. Contributeur de Boing Boing et de Wired, militant en faveur des Creative Commons et contre les DRM, on lui doit notamment les trois « lois de la création ». Il travaillera sur le projet Apollo 1201, qui vise à combattre les DRM sur le plan légal et législatif.
