Purple is the color of royalty, of dusk, and of mystery. On the Super Sea Wolf “Liberty London” Limited Edition, Zodiac was clearly conservative in its application of the color – for good reason. Where the dial’s center is an inky black with a sunburst finish and applied grey hour markers, the periphery of the dial with the minute track turns to a rich violet hue. The darkness of the black dial complemented by its outer purple ring almost recalls sunset, when violet and pink clouds dot a darkened sky
